Late Night Snatching and Assault Leaves Delivery Worker Seriously Injured
A Zomato delivery boy, Dheeraj Singh, was subjected to a violent attack and robbery in Jamshedpur, sparking an investigation by local police. The incident highlights the risks faced by delivery personnel during late-night shifts.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a concerning incident, a delivery worker for Zomato, Dheeraj Singh, was assaulted and robbed by a group of youths near Tinplate Chowk.
The robbery, occurring around 1:30 AM Tuesday night, resulted in Singh being severely injured after he was attacked with rods.
Singh suffered a serious injury, with his nose being notably cut during the altercation.
Following the attack, Singh was found unconscious at the scene for several hours before managing to return home.
Upon seeing Dheeraj soaked in blood, his family rushed him to Sadar Hospital, which then referred him to MGM Hospital for further treatment.
After initial care at MGM, Dheeraj Singh was transferred to TMH, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
His brother, Mohit Singh, has reported the incident to Golmuri police station, prompting an investigation into the violent robbery.
This attack has raised concerns about the safety of delivery workers, especially during late-night hours in Jamshedpur.
