JAMSHEDPUR – A disagreement over children playing in Panchvati Nagar, Sonari, erupted into violence on Saturday morning, resulting in one man being hospitalized with axe wounds.
Asani Pereira, a local dog trainer, was struck with an axe by a neighbor identified by name by the victims during the altercation.
The incident occurred around 12:30 PM when Bunty allegedly confronted children playing in the area.
According to Pereira, the assaulter threatened to harm his daughter if the children weren’t removed from the play area.
This threat angered Pereira’s wife Shweta, leading to a heated argument between the families.
The situation quickly escalated when the accused allegedly retrieved an axe from his home and attacked Pereira.
Pereira suffered injuries to his neck and arm and was admitted to MGM Hospital for treatment.
His staff member Manish and wife Shweta also reportedly sustained minor injuries in the scuffle.
Pereira’s family has filed a complaint against Bunty at the Sonari Police Station.
Police have begun investigating the incident, gathering statements from witnesses in the neighborhood.
This violent outburst has shocked the usually quiet residential area of Panchvati Nagar.
Local residents expressed concern over the escalation of a minor dispute into a potentially life-threatening situation.
