Congress and JMM Discuss Seat Sharing for Lok Sabha

INDIA Bloc’s Congress and JMM in talks over Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat sharing amid upcoming elections

As Lok Sabha elections approach, Congress and JMM negotiate seat sharing in Jamshedpur, with BJP already announcing candidates.

JAMSHEDPUR – Even before the Lok Sabha election announcement, BJP had named its candidates, highlighting the urgency in the INDIA bloc for seat sharing negotiations between Congress and JMM.

Congress members convened at Bistupur’s Tilak Library to deliberate on Jamshedpur Lok Sabha candidature, reaching out to national and state party leaders for support.

Anand Bihari Dubey, Congress district president, emphasized the party’s strong organizational groundwork in Jamshedpur, from city to village levels, over the past two years.

Meanwhile, JMM has laid claim to both Kolhan seats, with State Chief Minister Champai Soren announcing the party’s intentions to contest vigorously in Jamshedpur.

JMM’s stronghold in four of Jamshedpur’s six assembly constituencies underscores its robust election preparations and ambition to field a strong candidate.

This ongoing negotiation phase reflects the complexities of coalition politics in the INDIA bloc, with both parties vying to optimize their electoral strategies in the crucial Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat.
