17-year-old girl still missing, family seeks police help in tracing minor

Jamshedpur: A 17-year-old minor girl, a resident of Chhaya Nagar under the jurisdiction of Sitaramdera police station of Jamshedpur has been missing since June 3. The police have not done much to trace the minor, who has gone missing for about a month.

Family members claim that they registered a case of abduction against unknown person, however, not much could be done by the police yet.

The family members say that they have got only blank assurances from the local police.

Family and locals of Chhaya Nagar, Sitaramdera meet City SP and urge him to trace and recover minor girl gone missing since June 3, 2021.

On Friday, the family members and a delegation of locals went to meet the City SP and urged him to issue instructions for tracing the minor girl.

The family members are still waiting for the girl to return.

A local citizen Rukmini Prasad said that the family had bought a mobile phone for the 17-year-old minor to help her in continuing her studies during the lockdown period.

However, the family has no clues as to how she came in contact with someone or whether she might have gone with whom.

The family members have lodged an FIR for abduction against unidentified youth are hoping that the police would find some clue about her whereabouts.

Rukmini Prasad said that the minor girl has gone missing since June 3 last and the family has been distraught since that day .

She appealed to the City SP to trace and recover the minor as soon as possible.
