Minor Girl Sold by Mother to Odisha Man, Escapes and Files Police Complaint in Jamshedpur
17-Year-Old Victim Alleges Mother’s Illicit Relationship Led to Forced Prostitution and Sale
In a disturbing case from Sonari, Jamshedpur, a 17-year-old girl has accused her mother of selling her to a person in Odisha, following a series of abusive incidents involving the mother’s alleged partner, B Sahu.
JAMSHEDPUR – The minor, a resident of Sonari Khuntadih, managed to escape from captivity in Odisha and reached out to the police, filing a written complaint against her mother.
According to the victim’s statement, her mother is involved in an illicit relationship with B Sahu, a resident of Kadma.
Despite the father’s attempts to intervene, the mother, in collusion with Sahu, allegedly implicated him in a false case, resulting in his imprisonment.
Forced into Sexual Exploitation
The complaint further alleges that the mother forced the minor to have physical relations with B Sahu, who threatened to kill her when she opposed his advances.
Sahu allegedly raped the girl, and 20 days ago, the mother, in collusion with him, sold her to a childless married man in Odisha.
The victim reported that the man in Odisha kept her hostage and physically abused her.
Escape and Demand for Action
On June 3, the girl managed to escape from captivity and boarded a train to Tatanagar station.
From there, she reached her grandmother’s residence in Sonari and subsequently approached the police to file a complaint.
The victim has demanded strict action against her mother and B Sahu for their alleged involvement in her sexual exploitation and sale.
Police Investigate the Matter
Following the complaint, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Police authorities are expected to gather evidence and take swift action against the accused, ensuring justice for the minor victim.
