In a significant operation, security forces dismantle a Naxalite ambush, recovering explosives in West Singhbhum.
CHAIBASA – In the dense forests between Tumbahaka Sarjomburu and Pradhanghat, a coordinated effort by Chaibasa Police and CRPF units neutralized a potential attack on security forces.
This operation led to the recovery and disposal of four IEDs, two hand grenades, and two detonators by a bomb disposal squad.
Based on credible intelligence, the operation targeted the activities of prominent leaders of the banned CPI(MAO) Naxalite organization. Individuals such as Misr. Besra and Anmol, along with their groups, were reportedly planning sabotage in the Kolhan region.
The security forces, including Cobra 209 BN, Jharkhand Jaguar, and several CRPF teams, embarked on this mission on October 10. The operation spanned across various villages and areas under the Tonto police station, indicating a broad strategy against Naxalite threats.
This initiative is part of a continuous effort to suppress Naxalite plans and enhance security in West Singhbhum. The commitment of the security forces to maintain peace is evident through their ongoing campaign against Naxal activities.
