CHAIBASA – In the dense forests of West Singhbhum, a meticulous operation by security forces led to the arrest of Rajesh Devgam and his brother Jaipal Devgam, from Sarjamburu village, marking a significant victory in the anti-Naxalite campaign.
The arrests took place on March 22, following a tip-off about Naxalite activities within the area, with forces seizing over Rs 10 lakh in cash, suspected explosives, and various equipment indicative of Naxalite presence.
Subsequent searches in the forests around Jimki Ikir and Rajabasa uncovered additional materials including levy receipts, about 100 grams of suspected explosives, communication devices, and daily use items linked to Naxalite operations.
The operation involved joint teams from Jharkhand Jaguar, Cobra Battalion, and CRPF, highlighting the collaborative approach in tackling Naxalite threats.
Police officials have affirmed their commitment to continuing their campaign against Naxalite activities, aiming to dismantle the network and restore peace in the region.
