JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has finalized new canteen rates while protecting contract employees from price increases.
The Central Canteen Management Committee reached the agreement today. The revision takes effect next month.
“We prioritize employee welfare,” Nitesh Raj, TWU Assistant Secretary stated.
Price Structure
Permanent employees face minimal increases. Food prices rise by ₹2.50 per meal.
Meanwhile, breakfast items see minor hikes. The increase ranges from ₹0.50 to ₹1.
Facility Upgrades
The company has modernized canteen infrastructure. Fresh paint and air conditioning improve ambiance.
Moreover, new Bain Marie machines maintain food temperature. Insect catchers enhance hygiene standards.
Service Improvements
Management introduced a feedback system. Complaints receive responses within 48 hours.
Meanwhile, food quality monitoring continues. Service timing sees better coordination.
“Employee feedback guides our improvements,” a committee member noted.
