Rabindra Bhawan hosts vibrant New Year celebrations in Jamshedpur

The Bengali New Year, Poila Boishakh-1431, was celebrated with cultural flair at Rabindra Bhawan.

JAMSHEDPUR – Rabindra Bhawan, the city’s cultural hub, came alive with festivities marking the arrival of Poila Boishakh-1431, the Bengali New Year.

The day began with a series of cultural programs that perfectly captured the festive spirit of the New Year.

At 8 am, the celebration officially started with mantra chanting and the melodious tunes of Rabindra Sangeet filling the air.

Ashis Chowdhury, General Secretary of the Tagore Society, was present to greet attendees and extend his New Year wishes.

Chandana Choudhury, Principal of Tagore School of Art, coordinated various Rabindra Sangeet performances by teachers and students, adding to the festive ambiance.

In his address, Chowdhury emphasized the significance of staying connected to cultural roots to ensure the preservation and enrichment of traditions.
