Chamber of Commerce demands action on theft and safety issues
The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry calls for increased police vigilance in Adityapur due to rising theft incidents, impacting businesses and worker safety.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry has voiced its concerns over the increasing theft incidents in the Adityapur Electronic Manufacturing Cluster area, addressing a letter to Jharkhand’s Director General of Police, Ajay Kumar Singh.
The Chamber requested immediate action to arrest the criminals and enhance police patrols.
The letter was also sent to key officials including Chief Minister Champai Soren and Chief Secretary L. Khyangte.
Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka and General Secretary Manav Kedia detailed the impact of theft on local businesses, particularly affecting the MSME sector.
Theft, snatching, and molestation reports have raised alarms about the safety of women workers, urging the need for better security.
Moonka proposed increased police patrolling and surveillance measures to ensure the industrial area’s safety.
