New DC Ananya Mittal to Focus on Law, Order & Development in East Singhbhum

New Deputy Commissioner prioritizes law, order, and development in East Singhbhum district

Ananya Mittal takes charge as the 24th District Magistrate of East Singhbhum, committing to the timely implementation of welfare schemes.

JAMSHEDPUR – Ananya Mittal, the new DC of East Singhbhum, would focus on law and order and development in the district.

A 2015 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, he has been appointed as the 24th District Magistrate (DM) and Deputy Commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum District.

He succeeds Shri Manjunath Bhajantri, an Indian Police Service officer from the 2011 batch, who has taken up a new role as Administrator of the Subarnarekha Project in Jamshedpur.

Upon assuming his new responsibilities, DM cum DC Mittal emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order and the successful execution of development projects within the district.

Mittal expressed his commitment to ensuring that welfare schemes from both the Central and State Governments are implemented efficiently, aiming for these initiatives to benefit the deserving populace and reach the society’s last mile.

Having previously served in the district during his probation period in 2017-18, Mittal plans to leverage his experience to advance development efforts under the current circumstances.

His past roles include Sub-Divisional Officer in Dhanbad, Deputy Development Commissioner in Simdega and Ranchi, and District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner in West Singhbhum, Chaibasa.

The ceremony saw the presence of various district officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Manish Kumar, SDM Dhalbhum Mr. Piyush Sinha, and others, indicating a collaborative effort towards achieving the district’s developmental goals.

This transition marks a new chapter in East Singhbhum’s administrative leadership, with Mittal’s prior experience in the district and various administrative capacities poised to contribute significantly to its progress.
