340 Students from 29 Schools Attend Training at Kudy Mahanty Auditorium

SAFE (Safety Awareness for Education) organized a training session focusing on the ‘Farishte – The Good Samaritan Law’ and ‘Addiction in adolescents – prevention and awareness’ for school students and coordinators at the Kudy Mahanty Auditorium.

JAMSHEDPUR – In an effort to educate and empower students, SAFE conducted a training session for 340 students and SAFE coordinators from 29 schools at the Kudy Mahanty Auditorium, covering crucial topics such as the Good Samaritan Law and adolescent addiction prevention and awareness.

The session was inaugurated by Ruchi Narendran, Chairperson of SAFE, and Neeraj Kumar Sinha, Chief Safety, who encouraged students to actively participate and make the most of the learning opportunity.

Dr. Manoj Sahoo, Sr. Consultant and HOD Psychiatry at TMH, served as the faculty for the session, while the CII Young Indians team covered the Good Samaritan Law.

Mom Mitra, Convener of SAFE, stated that the target audience for the session was students from Std. IX to Std. XII, and SAFE plans to continue organizing such sessions with relevant topics for children.

The event concluded with an interactive question and answer session, where students had the opportunity to seek guidance from the faculty members.

SAFE actively engages with 32 schools in Jamshedpur, 4 schools in Jharia, 7 schools in OMQ, and 7 schools in the West Bokaro division, all under the leadership of Ruchi Narendran.

Tata Steel supports this initiative by facilitating various safety initiatives for schools through an annual plan, ensuring that students receive valuable knowledge and skills to navigate important issues.

The training session aimed to equip students with a better understanding of the Good Samaritan Law and raise awareness about addiction prevention during the critical adolescent years.
