One Mohammad Irfan has been arrested in connection with the murder of Mohammad Umer Ali, whose body was discovered in the Purisilli area of Kapali OP on July 24.
JAMSHEDPUR – Mohammad Irfan has been arrested in connection with the murder of Mohammad Umer Ali, whose body was found in Purisilli, Kapali OP, on July 24.
The police acted swiftly after finding the body of Mohammad Umer Ali from Kadamdiha, Kharsawan, in Purisilli, Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
Kampani police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.
Near the crime scene, the police recovered liquor bottles and other items.
Acting promptly, the police arrested Mohammad Irfan from Kadamdiha near Kapali TOP Chowk.
Following his arrest, Irfan was presented in court and subsequently sent to jail.
The police also seized a motorcycle and an iron fiber rod during the arrest.
Investigations revealed that more individuals were involved in the crime.
The police are conducting raids to apprehend the other suspects.
Frequent incidents of this nature have left local residents fearful.
Despite the police achieving some success, the rate of such crimes remains unabated.
The local community remains on edge due to the increasing number of criminal activities in the Kapali OP area.
