JAMSHEDPUR – A grand Naman Yatra, tribute meeting and social gathering was organised on Monday on the martyrdom day of Amar Shaheed Brahhmeshwar Mukhia. The event was held under the joint aegis of Brahmarshi Vikas Manch, Bagbera unit and the Central Unit of Jamshedpur.

A large number of people attended the programme. They came from Jamshedpur, Seraikela-Kharsawan and surrounding areas. The turnout reflected deep reverence for the martyred leader.

The programme began with floral tributes at the statue of Shri Krishna Singh. Wreaths and flowers were also placed at a portrait of Brahhmeshwar Mukhia. This was followed by a grand Naman Yatra. The procession moved through the motorcycle and car rally format.

The rally covered various parts of the city. During the yatra, floral tributes were also offered at the statue of Bhagwan Parshuram. The procession drew participation from a wide cross-section of society.

After the yatra, a tribute meeting was held at the Shri Krishna Singh Memorial Sangh complex in Bagbera. Speakers at the meeting recalled the life, struggles and contributions of Brahhmeshwar Mukhia. He had worked extensively for society and farmers throughout his life.

“He gave his life for the cause of the community,” a speaker said at the gathering. “His path of service and sacrifice must guide us going forward.”

Meanwhile, speakers stressed the importance of unity, education and organisational strength within society. Various social representatives were also honoured during the programme. Newly elected office-bearers were felicitated at the event.

The participation of women and youth was notably high at the event. In addition, attendees passed a resolution at the end of the programme. They collectively pledged to walk the path shown by Brahhmeshwar Mukhia. They also committed to working for the welfare of society.

Brahhmeshwar Mukhia was a prominent community leader who championed the cause of farmers and backward communities in the region. He was killed under controversial circumstances, and his death anniversary is observed as Martyrdom Day by his followers across Bagbera and the broader Jamshedpur area each year.
