JAMSHEDPUR – An elderly man’s dead body was found floating in Swarnrekha River near Pump House under the jurisdiction of Azad Nagar police station.
The family identified the deceased as Ram Niranjan, a local resident.
They had reported him missing to Sonari police station after he did not return home.
Niranjan was last seen leaving his house to shave and never returned.
He had been staying with his in-laws in Sonari due to illness.
The deceased had been unwell for some days before his disappearance.
Local divers assisted police in retrieving the body from the river.
