JAMSHEDPUR – A major accident was narrowly averted in Mango on Saturday morning when a speeding car lost control and ploughed into a marriage hall near Chepapool, damaging its boundary wall.
The vehicle was travelling from the Pardih side towards Mango at the time of the incident. According to eyewitnesses, the car was moving at a very high speed.
Near Chepapool, the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle. The car then crashed directly into the wall of the marriage hall.
The impact was severe enough to damage a section of the wall. The car also sustained considerable damage in the collision.
However, no one was present at the venue at the time. As a result, there were no casualties or injuries in the incident.
A large crowd gathered at the spot shortly after the crash. The area witnessed considerable commotion for some time.
Local residents promptly alerted the police. Officers reached the scene quickly and assessed the situation.
Police seized the damaged car and took it to the police station. An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
Preliminary findings suggest that excessive speed and loss of vehicle control were the primary factors behind the crash. Meanwhile, local residents have demanded that authorities take measures to curb overspeeding in the Chepapool area.
