A long-standing land dispute in East Singhbhum has tragically culminated in the death of 52-year-old Rudra Mohan Sau, with his uncle, Sanjeevan Sao, being the prime suspect.

JAMSHEDPUR – A long-standing land dispute in East Singhbhum has tragically culminated in the death of 52-year-old Rudra Mohan Sau, with his uncle, Sanjeevan Sao, being the prime suspect.

The incident took place in Jaipura village, under the jurisdiction of the Barsol police station, where the dispute between the uncle and nephew had festered for years.

Sanjeevan Sao allegedly attacked his nephew with an axe, inflicting critical injuries. Local residents immediately rushed the victim to Baharagora Marine Health Center for urgent care.

Despite initial medical efforts, Rudra Mohan Sau’s condition worsened, necessitating his transfer to PRM Medical College, Baripada, for advanced treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.

Following a thorough police investigation, Sanjeevan Sao was arrested and charged with murder under sections 302/201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He was subsequently remanded to judicial custody this Wednesday.

The case highlights the severe consequences of unresolved property disputes and has shocked the local community.
