JAMSHEDPUR – The town of Sonari in Dobhi is abuzz with preparations for the upcoming five-day Shiv Mahapuran Katha, scheduled to commence on February 5.
This spiritual event, receiving significant backing from Minister Banna Gupta, is organized by Shri Trikal Darshi Seva Samiti.
A recent meeting at the event venue in Sonari, chaired by Ranjeeta Burma, was focused on finalizing the arrangements.
The Katha, a revered event in Hindu tradition, will feature Pandit Pradeep Mishra, a well-known Kathavachak from Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, narrating stories from the Shiv Mahapuran.
Committee officials expressed their gratitude towards Minister Gupta for his substantial support in ensuring the success of the event.
During the meeting, committee member Shashank Srivastava announced the Katha timings: daily sessions from 2 PM to 5 PM, which will include Aarti and Bhajan sessions.
The committee is in the process of delegating responsibilities among its members to ensure smooth conduct of the event.
The meeting witnessed a large turnout of devotees, including prominent social worker Hare Lal Mahto, and a considerable number of women participants.
In a gesture of gratitude, Vinod Gupta, a member of the organizing committee, delivered the vote of thanks.
