Tubes Division employee, son test positive, company canteen to be sealed

Jamshedpur: After an employee of the Tubes Division of Tata Steel tested positive for Covid-19, his son too has tested positive on Tuesday. He has been admitted in the Covid-19 ward of TMH. His father too is being treated in the same ward.

Both father and son are residents of Agrico. As the son has most likely got infected after coming in contact with his father, the area where they live has been turned into a containment zone. The Tubes Division canteen is also likely to be sealed on Wednesday. Samples will also be taken soon to ensure that appropriate contact tracing is done.

13 samples had tested positive in East Singhbhum on Tuesday. The total number of infected persons in the district has now reached 341.
