JAMSHEDPUR – In a much-anticipated clash, Jamshedpur FC is set to face East Bengal FC in the first semi-final of the Kalinga Super Cup at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium Main Pitch on Wednesday.

Jamshedpur FC, under new head coach Khalid Jamil, has shown exceptional form, defeating formidable teams like NorthEast United FC and Kerala Blasters FC.

They cemented their semi-final spot with a stylish win over Shillong Lajong, showcasing a strong lineup of Indian talent.

East Bengal FC, guided by Carles Cuadrat, secured their semi-final berth by overcoming arch-rivals Mohun Bagan Super Giant in a thrilling group stage finale.

Both teams displayed solid defensive skills in the group stages, despite not keeping clean sheets, with East Bengal and Jamshedpur conceding four and three goals respectively.

Strikers Cleiton Silva of East Bengal and Daniel Chima Chukwu of Jamshedpur are the players to watch, having demonstrated remarkable goal-scoring capabilities.

Silva has been crucial for East Bengal, scoring four goals in three matches, while Chukwu, despite missing the last game, has netted three goals.

Their performances will be pivotal in this high-stakes match, determining who advances to the final.

The winner will face the victor of the second semi-final between Mumbai City FC and Odisha FC.
