Major Schedule Overhaul in Kharagpur Rail Division Due to Developmental Works

Railway commuters in the Kharagpur Division, prepare for significant schedule changes from January 22 to January 26, 2024, including train cancellations and diversions.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant development for rail commuters, the Indian Railways has announced a series of changes in the train schedules of the Kharagpur Division, effective from January 22, 2024, to January 26, 2024.

This decision comes as part of accommodating ongoing developmental works in the division.

Commuters are strongly advised to take note of these changes to avoid any travel inconveniences.

The changes include the complete cancellation of the Kharagpur-Balasore-Kharagpur MEMU Special train.

This cancellation will be in effect throughout the mentioned dates.

Additionally, the Anand Vihar-Puri Nandan Kanan Express, scheduled for a journey on January 24, 2024, will be diverted.

This train will now operate on an alternate route passing through Rukni, Anara, Chandil, Sini, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur/Sambalpur City.

Significant rescheduling has also been announced for the Shalimar-Puri Dhauli Express.

On January 22, 2024, it will leave Shalimar at 11.15 hrs instead of the usual 09.15 hrs.

For January 23 and 24, 2024, the departure will be at 10.15 hrs.

On January 26, 2024, the train is rescheduled to depart at 10.45 hrs.

The Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express will see a similar rescheduling.

On January 22, 2024, it will depart from Howrah at 11.35 hrs.

From January 23 to January 26, 2024, the departures will be at various rescheduled times, with the earliest being 09.35 hrs and the latest at 11.35 hrs.
