Allegations Against Judicial Magistrate Being Probed
Victim’s statement recorded under CJM’s orders in rape and harassment case.

JAMSHEDPUR – Following the orders of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), a statement was recorded on Monday in the court of ACJM Saudamani Singh against Judicial Magistrate N Kumar.
The case involves allegations of rape, forced abortion, bigamy, and harassment.
Sources indicate that the victim provided a detailed account of the incidents in a closed room.
She stated that N Kumar married her in a temple and took her to various places, including his ancestral village, where he introduced her to his family.
She further alleged that Kumar forced her to undergo multiple abortions by administering drugs.
The victim also revealed that during this period, Narendra Kumar married another woman he met on Facebook and subsequently assaulted the victim.
She reported several instances of violence and coercion.
Earlier in the day, Investigating Officer Pallavi Kujur conducted the victim’s medical examination at Sadar Hospital in Parsudih.
The victim was then brought to the court around 4:45 PM to record her statement, her face covered for anonymity.
The victim met her lawyer, Ranjana Mishra, before her statement was recorded in the ACJM’s court.
On the other hand, N Kumar’s wife, Sheetal Yadav, has filed a counter FIR against the victim at Bistupur Police Station, accusing her of demanding Rs 20 lakh in extortion, theft of jewelry and money, and assault.
The police are investigating these claims as well.
