Statewide School Attendance Initiative Amplified Through #SeetiBajao Campaign

Social media ignites with the unique ‘Whistle Blow, Call School’ campaign on January 11, 2024, featuring children whistling their way to school under the #SeetiBajao hashtag.

RANCHI – In a bid to boost school attendance, the Education and Literacy Department’s ‘Whistle Whistle, Increase Attendance’ initiative is set for a social media blitz on January 11, 2024.

Children across districts will whistle while heading to school, with their pictures and videos shared online using #SeetiBajao.

This campaign involves district education officials, teachers, students, parents, and society’s intelligentsia.

Notably, Saraswati Vahini and Mata Samiti members will also participate.

Meeting of District Education Officers concluded

State Education Secretary K. Ravi Kumar spearheaded a meeting across districts to strategize for the mega campaign.

Block level officials received guidelines for ensuring the campaign’s success in every school.

Adequate whistles should be available in schools

K Ravi Kumar directed schools to stock ample whistles for the event.

Those lacking whistles are urged to procure them immediately.

Nodal officer appointed

Nodal officers have been assigned at district, block, and cluster levels to ensure the campaign’s success.

The program aligns with Prayas, SMC, RuR, and PTM initiatives.

Use all social media mediums

The State Education Project mandates utilizing various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and the Koo app, for campaign promotion.

The campaign started from Simdega

Originally piloted in Simdega, the successful ‘Whistle Blow, Increase Attendance’ campaign has now expanded statewide.

It has notably enhanced school attendance and fostered leadership skills in students.

This campaign involves house captains and class monitors using whistles to encourage school attendance.

The initiative also raises parental awareness, ensuring timely school attendance by children.
