SARAIKELA – A woman was killed and three others were seriously injured after a speeding truck struck two motorcycles in Gopidih, triggering protests and a road blockade.
A major road accident occurred late Wednesday night. The incident took place in Gopidih under Seraikela police station limits.
According to local accounts, a speeding truck collided with two motorcycles. The impact left four people critically affected.
However, one woman died at the scene. Three others suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Moreover, eyewitnesses alleged the truck dragged the woman for nearly 100 metres. As a result, her body was severely mutilated.
The truck driver fled from the spot immediately afterward. The vehicle was also taken away from the accident site.
