JAMSHEDPUR – An artist from Jamshedpur, Suman Prasad, presented her creative work at Bharat Buildcon 2026, an event held at Yashobhoomi, the India International Convention and Expo Centre in the national capital. Prasad, who founded the art initiative Flamingoart, used the platform to bring attention to Jharkhand’s artistic talent on an international stage.
The event drew participation from Brics and Brics Plus nations. Representatives from several countries attended the proceedings, including Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia. Prasad’s presence at the gathering drew particular attention from visitors.
Flamingoart took part in the exhibition in partnership with the People of Construction Network Club, a professional organisation linked to the construction sector. The collaboration brought several artistic formats to the venue. These included mural-style works, raised relief pieces, and premium canvas paintings. Visitors at the exhibition responded with strong interest in the displayed pieces.
Throughout the exhibition, Prasad engaged in conversations with architects, interior design professionals, builders, developers, and other industry representatives. Her work received considerable appreciation from those who attended. Many of the visitors who interacted with her exhibits work directly in construction and design fields connected to the wider Bharat Buildcon programme.
Speaking about her participation, Prasad described presenting her art on an international platform as a matter of pride. She characterised the opportunity as a reflection of the creative talent present in Jamshedpur and across Jharkhand more broadly. Bharat Buildcon, held at the Yashobhoomi convention centre, is positioned as a venue for showcasing construction-related industries alongside allied creative and cultural sectors, drawing exhibitors and delegations from a wide international base, including the Brics grouping of major emerging economies.
Jharkhand-based creative professionals have in recent months found increasing visibility on platforms reaching beyond the state, with participation in national and international forums spanning art, education, and cultural exchange.
