The Bihar Kennel Club, established on April 7, 1977, in Jamshedpur, marked a pivotal step towards enriching the dog community in Eastern India, particularly Bihar.

This initiative, born from discussions among dog lovers, aimed to elevate the state of canine care through scientific breeding, expert veterinary advice, and organizing dog shows and trials.

Affiliated with Kennel Club India Chennai, the club was a response to the lack of a dedicated association for dog enthusiasts in the region.

The upcoming Jamshedpur Kennel Club Dog Show 2024 is a testament to the club’s enduring commitment to canine welfare and human-canine relationships.

A panel of renowned judges, including Philip Butt, Yana Gavrilova, Dr. Pero Bozhinovski, Lynette Brand, Alexey Belkin, and Woong Jong Lee, will bring their expertise to the various event categories.

Their international experience will greatly contribute to the prestige and success of this grand event.

Sudipto Sarkar, Honorary Secretary of JKC, emphasized the significance of Jamshedpur’s participation and success in national dog competitions in recent years.

The event, set to commence with Probal Ghosh of Tata Steel as the Chief Guest, will feature diverse activities like Benching and panel discussions.

Ruchi Narendran, President of JKC, in her recent press statement, highlighted the event as a remarkable display of canine elegance and charm, celebrating the profound bond between humans and dogs.
