At the Hanuman temple in Digilota, thieves not only stole the donation box but also took the temple bell, a significant religious artifact.
The incident occurred last night when the temple’s locks were broken.
A similar theft had occurred a week earlier at the Nischintpur temple, raising concerns about the security of these sacred places.
These temples, integral to the local community’s spiritual life, have faced security challenges despite their significance.
