Grand Vidyapati Smriti Parv Samaroh to be Held in Jamshedpur on June 8-9
Two-Day Cultural Event to Feature Renowned Maithili Artists and Traditional Stalls
Under the aegis of Mithila Cultural Council of Jamshedpur, a two-day grand Vidyapati Smriti Parv Samaroh will be organized on June 8th and 9th at the Buddhist Temple Ground in Sakchi.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Mithila Cultural Council of Jamshedpur is set to host a grand two-day Vidyapati Smriti Parv Samaroh on June 8th and 9th at the Buddhist Temple Ground in Sakchi.
The Vidyapati Rath was sent out to invite people to the event, ensuring information about the celebration reaches every household.
Guests at the Rath Yatra ceremony included Deputy Superintendent of Police Anjani Tiwari and Deputy Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Thakur.
The event commenced with a welcome address by President Shishir Jha, followed by a vote of thanks from Rajendra Karna.
The program was conducted by Shiv Chandra Jha.
The Vidyapati Prachar Rath will tour every corner of the city, inviting all Maithili language speakers and the general public to the event.
The festivities will begin at 5 pm and continue until 10 pm each day.
The cultural event will feature performances by renowned Maithili singer Poonam Mishra, Vikas Jha, Swati Jha, Rishabh Bhardwaj, Pankaj Jha, Shankar Nath Jha, and others.
Ram Sevak Thakur will entertain the audience with his comedic presentations.
An Anand Mela has been organized as part of the event, featuring various stalls offering Maithili food, paan, books, CDs, cassettes, turbans, and Mithila paintings.
The Anand Mela will be held on both days, providing attendees with the opportunity to purchase traditional Mithila items.
Transportation arrangements, including buses, have been made to facilitate attendees’ travel to and from the event.
