JMM Leader Criticizes Raj Bhavan’s Political Maneuvering

Supriyo Bhattacharya Questions Raj Bhavan’s Advice on Key Bills

JMM Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya has voiced concerns over the political undertones in Raj Bhavan’s communications, impacting crucial legislative bills in Jharkhand.

RANCHI – Supriyo Bhattacharya, JMM Central General Secretary, has highlighted potential political motives in the advice and messages emanating from Raj Bhavan.

He expressed concerns about the confusion these communications are creating among the public.

In a press conference, Bhattacharya pointed out the political undercurrents in the current climate, referencing recent legislative developments.

He specifically mentioned the Domicile Bill and the Sarna Dharma Code Bill, passed unanimously by the Assembly but facing hurdles at Raj Bhavan.

Bhattacharya criticized the Governor’s advice on these bills, particularly the proposal to prioritize local residents in district-level third and fourth-grade appointments.

He accused the Governor of introducing unnecessary complications by suggesting a five-year priority review clause.

Emphasizing the bills’ importance in preserving local identity, Bhattacharya lamented the delay caused by Raj Bhavan’s prolonged decision-making.

He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to reintroduce the bills in the upcoming winter session, aiming to secure local employment.

Bhattacharya also called out Babulal, urging him to clarify his association with Raja Peter, hinting at deeper political intricacies.

This controversy highlights the complex relationship between governance, regional identity, and political strategies in Jharkhand.
