Voter List Revision Nears Completion for Upcoming Lok Sabha Polls

The final stages of voter list revision are underway across India in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections, with a focus on inclusivity and accuracy.

JAMSHEDPUR -In East Singhbhum, Kolhan Division Commissioner Manoj Kumar reviewed the progress of the voter list revision.

During his visit on Friday, Kumar expressed satisfaction with the district’s progress in updating the voter list.

He urged the team to expedite the process, ensuring a thorough and efficient update.

Over 88 thousand applications have been processed so far, reflecting a significant achievement in voter list management.

As India gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the voter list revision work across the country has entered its final stage.

The finalized voter list is scheduled for publication on January 5.

The Election Cell is actively working to ensure a comprehensive and accurate voter list.

This revision includes adding new voters who turn 18 years old by January 1, 2024.

Efforts are also being made to remove deceased individuals’ names from the voter rolls.

Officials said that these efforts are critical for a fair and representative electoral process in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The ongoing work highlights the commitment to maintaining an up-to-date and inclusive voter database.

According to the officials, the efficient handling of such a vast task illustrates the Election Cell’s dedication to democratic processes.
