Young Man Shot in Jamshedpur, Locals Blame Inaction Against Booze Mafia
The Ulidih police station in Mango, Jamshedpur was the scene of a grievous shooting, with locals blaming inaction against local antisocial elements.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a shocking act of neighborhood violence in Mango’s Ulidih area, 26-year-old Manish Yadav was shot by an armed local in broad daylight.
The audacious incident took place near Ramnagar Chowk, on Road No. 5 in Sankosai.
A local resident, Manish, was rushed from MGM Medical College Hospital to Tata Main Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
A dispute between Yadav and a group of inebriated local youths in front of his home escalated quickly, resulting in the shooting.
One of the group members fired multiple shots, two of which hit Manish.
The suspect, along with his friend, were identified by locals as frequent troublemakers in the neighborhood.
Concerns about the brewing of illicit liquor in the Sankosai area have been previously raised, but police failed to address the issue, empowering such antisocial elements.
Ulidih police station’s OC, Sonu Kumar, acknowledged the existing hostility between the victim and the suspects and assured that they will be arrested soon.
Local eyewitnesses expressed disappointment in the police’s lack of action despite repeated complaints.
