Worker dies in mixer machine mishap in Mango Road No 6 area

Jamshedpur: In a tragic accident, a worker Santosh Verma died after being crushed by a mixer machine at a construction site in Mango Road No 6. The locals rushed him to TMH, but he succumbed to his injuries.

According to information received, a construction work was going on and workers were pushing the heavy mixing machine when this accident occurred at the site in Mango Road No. 6 area. The deceased Santosh Verma was crushed by the mixing machine and was seriously injured. He was taken to hospital, but was declared brought dead.

The family members reached the hospital too after receiving the information. Entire family was crestfallen and shocked. The family members were completely dependent on Santosh Verma.

Angry locals have demanded adequate compensation from the concerned contractor.

An attempt was on to reach an agreement between the contractor and the family members for compensation.

Another worker Gautam Verma said that two persons were pushing the mixer machine. He alleged that the contractor had not provided any safety equipments to the workers.

The locals demanded adequate compensation to the family.

The elder brother of the deceased Manoj Verma also reached the place. He said that the contractor was trying to underplay his responsibility and negligence. He said that the contractors’ negligence was responsible for the accident and his brother’s death.

The police are investigating the case.
