Court Cites Lack of Evidence in High-Profile Cyber Crime Case

The accused were charged with leaking customer data to cybercriminals.

JAMSHEDPUR – The court has acquitted three individuals accused of leaking data from a call centre located on Mango Dimna Road.

The case, presided over by Special Judge Cyber Crime ADJ-2 Abhash Verma, concluded with the acquittal of Rakesh Yadav, Sanjeev Sikdar, and Abhimanyu alias Laxman.

These individuals were alleged to have leaked customer data from the call centre to cybercriminals.

The case was originally registered at Ulidih Police Station on May 27, 2014.

Advocate Vidya Singh, representing the accused, stated that the prosecution failed to present concrete evidence to substantiate the charges.

As a result, the court found the accused not guilty and acquitted them of all charges.
