  • Over 3 lakh candidates appeared for exams across 823 centers
  • Commission calls protest videos doctored, empty CD submitted as proof

RANCHI – The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has firmly rejected allegations of question paper leaks in recent examinations, with its secretary questioning the authenticity of submitted evidence.

The commission conducted examinations on September 21 and 22, 2024, witnessing participation from 304,694 candidates. Secretary Sudhir Gupta emphasized that proper procedures were followed throughout.

Investigation Details

A thorough investigation revealed no irregularities at any examination center. “Claims about result manipulations are baseless as we haven’t even completed document verification,” a senior JSSC official stated.

The commission received reports on September 26 at the Governor’s Secretariat. However, protests erupted without proper authorization, leading to violence and injuries to several officials.

Evidence Analysis

The investigation team found edited photos and videos submitted as evidence. “Those alleging malpractices provided an empty CD and refused to submit original mobile footage,” revealed a reliable source.

Moreover, tribal language examinations on the second day showed higher success rates naturally. The commission has scheduled document verification for 2,231 shortlisted candidates from December 16 to 20.
