Samajik Sewa Sangh demands regular door-to-door waste collection in rural areas

Samajik Sewa Sangh says that non-disposal of waste can cause serious health issues in rural outskirts of Jamshedpur.

Jamshedpur: A delegation of Samajik Sewa Sangh led by Rajesh Samant, the patron of the Samajik Sewa Sangh met the Deputy Commissioner and urged him to ensure that door to door garbage collection is arranged for in the rural areas adjacent to Jamshedpur city.

A charter of demands was handed also submitted to the DC by the delegation.

Later, Rajesh Samant, Patron of Samajik Sewa Sangh said that a request was made to the Deputy Commissioner to provide a vehicle for garbage collection in rural areas so that people can dispose their domestic waste even in rural area in the same manner it is done in the city.

He said that there is a lot of garbage generated and scattered here and there in the panchayat areas, due to which there is a possibility of health issues arising in the rural and sub urban areas.

He said that due to rain, garbage starts accumulating on the main road. And this causes dirty water to flow on the road as the drainage gets blocked.

He said that keeping in view the health and future of the people of rural areas, they urged the DC to arrange for garbage pickup on the lines of the arrangements for the same in urban areas.

Rajesh Samant appealed to the DC to make arrangements for collection and disposal of garbage in each Panchayat.

He said that the DC agreed with the request and said that steps would be taken to resolve the issue.

Those who were a part of the delegation included JMM leaders Sagen Purti, Bhupati Sardar, Rajesh Samant, Akhilesh Mahto, Sudhakar Lohra, Rajni Das, Sonu Srivastava, Mangal Sharma, Chhote Sardar, Rajkumar Mahto.
