Jamshedpur Police Arrest Two in Connection to Amarnath Singh’s Murder
The Jamshedpur Police have arrested two suspects linked to the murder of local criminal Amarnath Singh, also recovering firearms and ammunition.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Police have announced the arrest of two individuals, Deepak Chaudhary alias Teka Chaudhary and Abhishek Singh alias Bittu Singh, in connection with the murder of local criminal Amarnath Singh.
Upon arrest, the police recovered a country-made pistol and six live cartridges from the suspects.
Deepak Chaudhary, a resident of Ulidih Aastha Space Town, faces charges of attempted murder, robbery, and violation of the Arms Act.
Abhishek Singh hails from Garabasa Bagbera.
The arrest followed an anonymous tip that two criminals were en route from Jamshedpur to Kolkata, armed with weapons and bullets.
Raju, in-charge at the MGM police station, led a team that intercepted a passenger bus headed for Kolkata.
Two passengers on the bus reacted suspiciously upon seeing the police, leading to their identification and search.
Chaudhary was found with a pistol and three bullets, while three bullets were recovered from Singh.
Both suspects confessed to murdering Amarnath Singh at Basukinath Dham Dumka, leading to their incarceration as wanted suspects in the murder case and for possession of illegal weapons.
