Jamshedpur Police Busts Gambling Den, 18 Arrested and Sent to Jail
Eighteen individuals have been jailed for their involvement in gambling activities in Sakchi, following a swift operation by Jamshedpur Police.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a major operation on Friday, the local police arrested 18 people for running a gambling den in a shed near Lalu Tailor, located in Rajiv Chowk under the jurisdiction of the Sakchi police station.
The accused were swiftly sent to jail on Saturday, in spite of political lobbying for their release. Alongside the arrests, the police seized Rs 1,41,830 in cash, 19 mobiles, one bullet, one scooty, and various gambling items from the location.
The arrests came after a tip-off about illegal gambling activities in the area.
The individuals arrested and sent to jail include S K Singh from Ghatshila, S Jha from Adityapur, A Sharma from Mango, Rj Mukhi from Bhalubasa, R Sharma from Bhuiandih, R Sah and N K Sah from Bagbera, and others.
