When the villagers and relatives of the boy learnt about the incident, they were shocked.

Vishal’s body too was later found by the police at the site under the plough.

The police could not confirm and it was not clear whether his death was caused due to his being beaten up by the irate villagers or not.

Bagdu police station in-charge Pankaj Kumar, upon receiving information about the incident, reached the scene and retrieved both bodies, which were then taken to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

Pankaj Kumar stated that preliminary information suggests the child’s death was an accident.

The circumstances surrounding the driver’s death, with his body found buried under the plough, will be revealed after further investigation.

Pankaj Kumar firmly denied any allegations of mob lynching at this point.
