JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy inaugurated a newly built shed for Vedic study and practice at the Swarnarekha riverbank in Sakchi, constructed under the Urban Development Department’s fund. Addressing the gathering, he urged people to engage in learning and practicing the Vedas to strengthen the traditions of ancient sages.
The Vedic Study Center will be operated by Dharmarakshini Paurahitya Mahasangh, whose members will guide visitors in understanding and practicing Vedic teachings. Roy emphasized explaining the meaning of the Vedas, discussing Sanatan culture, and raising awareness of religious heritage.
He noted that current global religious developments necessitate spreading knowledge of Sanatan Dharma through such centers. Publicity for the center, he added, would encourage more people to visit, learn, and study the Vedas, fostering deeper roots for the faith.
Roy assured that he would monitor the center’s functioning and address any organizational shortcomings, offering full cooperation. “Reading, knowing, and understanding the Vedas is essential. The more we nurture them, the better it will be for society,” he said.
The inauguration was attended by Mahasangh president Bipin Jha, secretary Umesh Kumar Tiwari, treasurer Sudhir Jha, Vivek Pandey, Raghvendra Pratap Singh alias Jhunna, Dharmendra Prasad, Satyendra Pandey, Raj Singh, and several others.
