684th Red Cross Eye Camp Opens in Bagbera Jamshedpur, 28 Patients Slated for Surgery
The 684th Eye Camp of the Red Cross Society inaugurated in Jamshedpur where 28 patients are set to undergo surgery and lens transplants.
JAMSHEDPUR – The 684th Eye Camp of the Red Cross Society was officially inaugurated at Ram Manohar Lohia Seva Sansthan, Bagbera Thana Chowk on Saturday.
The event was presided over by an array of esteemed guests, including Amit Rai, National President of BIT Sindri’s parent branch Alumni Association, District Education Superintendent Nisha Kumari, and Jamshedpur Chapter President Suman Jha, among others.
53 patients underwent eye examinations during the event, performed by Ophthalmologist Dr. BP Singh and his medical team.
Out of these, 28 were determined to be suitable candidates for surgery. These patients are scheduled to undergo surgery and receive lens transplants on Sunday, July 23.
The surgical procedures will be carried out at Ram Manohar Lohia Seva Sansthan by a dedicated medical team that includes Drs. Bharti Sharma, Poonam Singh, and Vivek Kedia.
After the surgeries, the patients’ blindfolds will be removed on Monday, and they will be given a final check-up before being discharged with eye care instructions, necessary medications, and eyeglasses if needed.
