Jharkhand Government Issues 2,550 Appointment Letters
In a move to address unemployment, Jharkhand government issues appointment letters to 2,550 successful candidates across four departments.
RANCHI – Following the Supreme Court’s explicit guidelines, the Jharkhand government, led by Hemant Soren, dispatched appointment letters to successful candidates for 2,550 positions in four departments.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren himself presented these appointment letters to the Lower Division Clerks at a ceremony hosted at Morhabadi Grounds in Ranchi on Thursday.
CM Hemant Soren, expressing his surprise, stated that such a vast distribution of appointment letters was unprecedented in the state.
In the current employment landscape, where organizations that previously offered the most jobs are seeing a decline, the Jharkhand government is making concerted efforts to lessen the unemployment burden for the state’s youth.
Hemant Soren cited that even the army, traditionally the largest employer, has dwindled in providing jobs.
The Chief Minister noted the growing trend of privatization in the country, leading to an influx of contractual work, and voiced his concerns over the deteriorating state of the railways and the rampant asset sell-offs.
Despite these challenges, the Jharkhand government is extending government job opportunities to the youth, complete with an old-age pension scheme.
The event began at Morhabadi Situation Ground in Ranchi, where Lower Division Clerks were the first recipients of their appointment letters.
Subsequently, selected candidates from various departments were given their appointment letters based on their districts.
The departments involved were the Panchayati Raj Department, Revenue Registration and Land Reforms Department, Finance Department, and Food Supply Department.
Present at the ceremony were Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Alamgir Alam, Planning and Development, Finance and Food Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, Labor, Planning, Training and Skill Development Minister Satyanand Bhokta, among others.
The candidates had to wait for six years, from application submission to receiving their appointment letters, enduring a lengthy verification process.
Finance and Food Supply Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon congratulated the appointees and underscored their new responsibilities.
Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam made an announcement about the impending implementation of E-Panchayat.
Labour and Employment Minister Satyanand Bhokta highlighted the crucial role of Panchayat Secretaries in issuing birth and death certificates.
