Youth Congress protests Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification, burns Narendra Modi’s effigy at Sakchi
Jamshedpur: A large number of Congress supporters and Youth Congress members protested against the alleged political persecution of Rahul Gandhi, the leader of Congress party, and condemned his disqualification as Lok Sabha MP after his conviction in a defamation case.
Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party and the MP from the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, has now been disqualified from the Parliament after his conviction in a criminal defamation case over his “Modi surname” remark.
A group of Jamshedpur Youth Congress members protested at the Sakchi roundabout on Friday and burned an effigy of the Prime Minister in response to the Congress party’s protest over the development.
Black badges were worn by the demonstrators to show their opposition to the government’s ongoing privatization of the nation’s assets, which Rahul Gandhi and the whole Congress party rejected.
They asserted that the central government is attempting to hurt Rahul Gandhi personally and that they are even abusing institutions and agencies of the government to accomplish this dishonorable objective.
They claimed that the Congress party has made a commitment to keep opposing these measures.
