Jamshedpur Aam Aadmi Party Protests for Better Railway Services

Jamshedpur’s Aam Aadmi Party protests against lack of basic amenities at Salga Jhari railway station, seeking immediate improvement.

JAMSHEDPUR – A protest led by AAP’s Jamshedpur East Unit president Abhishek Kumar culminated in front of the Tatanagar Railway Office Area Manager’s office.

The lack of seating arrangements, ticket counters, proper drinking water facilities, platform sheds, and lighting at Salga Jhari railway station sparked this protest.

Residents of Salga Jhari Gemco Azad Basti, Gwala Basti, Manifitt, Premnagar, Bamangora, Parsudih, Sarjamda, Haldubani, Govindpur Wire Company area are severely affected by these inadequacies.

Passengers often risk boarding trains without tickets due to the absence of a ticket counter, leading to fines when ticket checks occur at their destination stations.

The Aam Aadmi Party’s team demanded immediate resolution of these issues.

Area Manager Binod Kumar, after receiving the memorandum, promised to address the drinking water and ticket issues within 5 to 6 days and resolve other demands within six months.
