Governor Addresses Water Crisis in Seraikela Public Dialogue
Jharkhand’s Governor CP Radhakrishnan addresses water crisis and other local issues during a public dialogue session in Seraikela.
JAMSHEDPUR – Governor CP Radhakrishnan arrived in Seraikela from West Singhbhum district on Monday morning.
Upon his arrival at the KVPSD State Aided Girls High School, he was honored with a guard of honor by the district administration.
Top officers from Seraikela District Police Administration were in attendance.
The Governor proceeded to visit the KVPSD State-aided Girls High School Model School and interacted with the students.
He also took part in a program at the Old Age Home.
At the Tribal Residential School in Sanjay village, the Governor engaged in a dialogue with students, planted saplings, and took photographs.
He also sought to understand the public problems faced by locals.
At the public-dialogue program held at Itakudar Panchayat Bhavan, villagers expressed their struggles with a severe drinking water crisis in Kashidih Tola.
Rural women shared that villagers are still dependent on a well built during the British era for their drinking water.
The well dries up during the summer season, leading villagers to search for alternative water sources.
The Governor was requested to arrange for proper drinking water facilities and the construction of ponds in the village.
During the program, the Governor also distributed assets.
Security was tightened in Seraikela headquarters and other areas in preparation for the Governor’s visit.
