BDO Seema Kumari Adopts Dumagkocha Village in Musabani for Holistic Development
Block Development Officer, Smt. Seema Kumari, adopts Dumagkocha village in Musabani, pledging holistic growth and tackling malnutrition.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a groundbreaking initiative, Seema Kumari, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Musabani, has adopted Dumagkocha village with the aim of fostering development and transforming it into a model block.
Having successfully developed her previously adopted village, Kumari is now focusing on enhancing the living conditions in Dumagkocha.
On her recent inspection of the village located in a remote area of the Forest Block Panchayat, Kumari found that out of the 52 families residing there, three children are malnourished and most residents are suffering from various diseases.
Acting promptly, she notified the medical officer in charge of the Community Health Center, Musabani, and ensured the provision of necessary medical treatment.
Understanding the importance of early education, Kumari has appointed local youth, Ramesh Dhiroul, to educate the children of the village due to the absence of an Anganwadi center. Additionally, the Anganwadi workers of Pathargoda have been instructed to provide meals for the village children.
The villagers will benefit from the Didi Bari Yojana under MNREGA, promoting employment in the village. Instructions have been given to the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation to construct a water tower and the police station in-charge has been urged to dismantle an illegal liquor distillery hindering the development work.
