Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Sub-Junior & Junior Men State Hockey Championship 2023 kicks off

Jamshedpur: Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Sub-Junior & Junior Men State Hockey Championship 2023 kicks off today. On day 1, Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) team leads in Pool A and Hockey Gumla team in Pool B with six points each.

Naval Tata Hockey Academy Jamshedpur, under the aegis of Hockey Jharkhand, is hosting the Championship at the Astroturf pitch from May 8-12.

Today’s Opening Ceremony was graced by Bholanath Singh, Secretary of Hockey India as Chief Guest Vijay Shankar, Secretary of Hockey Jharkhand as Guest of Honour.

Eight districts are invited to play this league cum knockout event. After the pool phase, the top two teams of each pool will play a crossover Semi-Final match to book a berth in the finals.

A total of eight matches were played on day one, with two matches for each team. The performing/best players from each match are being recognised and acknowledged with gifts.

The final stages of league matches will be played on May 9 for teams to book their berth in the crossover semi-finals.
