Senior BJP Leader Babulal Marandi Targets Hemant Soren Govt over Shastri Nagar Incident
JAMSHEDPUR – Senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi arrived in Jamshedpur Saturday night, speaking with reporters at Circuit House in Jamshedpur, targeting the district administration and the government for their handling of the recent communal violence in Shastri Nagar under the jurisdiction of Kadma police station.
Marandi expressed his concerns over the government’s inaction and alleged encouragement of those responsible for causing chaos.
“Strict action should be taken against those who create ruckus. But the government is encouraging such people,” he said.
He also accused the government of imprisoning innocent individuals while leaving the real culprits unpunished.
The former Chief Minister raised questions about the timing of these incidents, pointing out that they mostly occur during Hindu festivals like Ram Navami.
He further emphasized that most riots in Jharkhand took place during the tenure of the current Chief Minister, Hemant Soren.
Referring to his own time as Chief Minister, Marandi recalled the chaotic situation in Ranchi, where events like Durga Puja or Eid fairs were held on the road, causing difficulties for pedestrians.
According to Marandi, he was able to improve the situation by engaging in dialogue with all sides, resulting in a better environment in Ranchi today.
Marandi urged the current administration to learn from his example and address the ongoing issues in the state, particularly those related to communal riots, in order to create a safer environment for all citizens.
