Jamshedpur: The Purvi Singhbhum Student Union, Jamshepdur took out a massive protest rally on Saturday from LBSM College in Karandih to Sunder Nagar Chowk to voice their demands for a better employment policy and 100% reservation for locals in class III and IV jobs.
The protest rally was joined by students from various colleges, and it ended at Sunder Nagar Chowk, where the students demanded the immediate withdrawal of the current ‘sixty-forty’ employment policy and the creation of a new policy.

According to the students, the state of Jharkhand was formed with the aim of focusing on the welfare of the tribal-natives living in the state, but the current policies have marginalized them. They also claim that their livelihoods are being threatened, which cannot be tolerated at any cost.
As a result, the protestors said, the students are demanding that Adivasi-Moolvasis be given 100% priority in third and fourth class jobs in Jharkhand.
After reaching Sundernagar Chowk, the Aakrosh Maharally proceeded to the block office, where the students continued their protest.
The protestors said that today’s rally is a strong message to the state government that the youth of the region are committed to fighting for their rights and making their voices heard.

They said that the Singhbhum Student Union’s protest is part of a larger movement in Jharkhand that seeks to empower marginalized communities and ensure that they receive the benefits of development.
The protestors called for a new employment policy that will take into account the needs of the Adivasi-Moolvasis and ensure that their livelihoods are protected.
