Jamshedpur Police Conduct Mock Drill at Golmuri Police Centre Ahead of Ram Navami
Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Police held a mock drill on Wednesday at Police Center Golmuri to prepare for the upcoming Ram Navami festival and to practise methods of dealing with rioters and hoodlums in emergency situations.
The exercise was carried out to make sure that the police force was ready to respond to any undesirable situation that could arise during the festival.
The Ram Navami festival, which is celebrated with tremendous enthusiasm in the city, has the district administration of East Singhbhum on high alert.
The district’s Deputy Commissioner and SSP are in constant touch with the city’s Akhara committees and are providing them with necessary directives.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav reviewed the festival preparations during a high-level meeting with the deputed magistrates and super magistrate. The Deputy Commissioner issued explicit directives for the Akhara committees too, emphasizing that they must adhere fully to the directives issued by the district administration.
Many police teams that had been prepared to tackle any emergency that could happen during the festival were deployed around the city as part of the mock drill conducted by the Jamshedpur Police.
The police squads are prepared to deal with any possible trouble-making attempt.
To avoid any untoward events during the festival, the Jamshedpur Police have also tightened security in the city.
In addition to setting up checkpoints at numerous spots, the police have enhanced patrolling across the city, particularly in the sensitive districts.
The Jamshedpur district administration has advised people to observe the event peacefully and to work with the police to uphold law and order.
On the other hand, Jamshedpur citizens are preparing to celebrate the festival with religiosity and enthusiasm.
