  • Protest scheduled on December 12 against such atrocities

MEDININAGAR – The Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA) Palamu unit organized the 58th session of its cultural workshop to discuss increasing atrocities against women. The central theme was “Women and Our Mentality,” where multiple speakers expressed their views.

The discussion was jointly chaired by Acchelal Prajapati and Suresh Singh, IPTA’s district executive president.

Focus on Women’s Safety and Local Incidents

Prem Prakash introduced the topic, emphasizing that the conversation would cover all women, from young girls to adults. He highlighted the disturbing incidents at the Palamu shelter home. Prakash also referenced the film Bhakshak to shed light on the gravity of such crimes. He stressed that investigations into such incidents should connect past cases for a deeper understanding.

Kuldip Ram brought attention to similar issues at Kasturba Gandhi Residential School in Palamu, where minors faced exploitation.

Call for Public Action

Suresh Singh emphasized that crimes against women, whether adults or minors, remain a shameful act in any civilized society. He urged the community to take to the streets to raise their voice against such injustices.

Responding to the proposal, attendees unanimously decided to hold a protest on December 12 at 11 AM in the district court premises. The protest will use posters to highlight these pressing issues. Organizations such as Mission Samriddhi, Kashish Art, and Anshu Art will actively participate in the demonstration.

Participation and Solidarity

The event witnessed participation from key individuals, including Vaibhav Raj, Ajit Thakur, Shashi Pandey, Ghanshyam, Sanjeev Kumar Sanju, Ravishankar, Bhola, and many others.
